1.29 Million Vehicles Fuel Restriction Targets

JAKARTA,  - The government target for the first phase of implementation of restrictions on subsidized fuel oil as much as 1.29 million vehicles. This target applies to vehicles in Java and Bali.

"So the first stage of the target 1.29 million vehicles on the island of Java and Bali, so not all of a sudden," said Coordinating Minister Hatta Rajasa at the office of President, on Tuesday (03/01/2012).

This policy is valid from 1 April next appropriate mandated in the 2012 Budget Act restrictions on subsidized fuel to run. This restriction applies to vehicles that black plate.

Therefore, the Ministry of Energy has established two teams to ensure this policy is going according to plan. The first team is a team of socialization and the second team is the team supervisor to control the possibility of leaks.

In addition to limiting subsidized fuel in this case the premium for the vehicle, the government set up an additional option to run the conversion program subsidized fuel to compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied gas for vehicle (LGC).

Hatta admitted, to run this conversion program takes about infrastructure, such as the construction of CNG stations. For the initial stage, he said, the government set up the infrastructure with the concept of mother and daughter. In this concept, charging stations will act as a mother holding a supply of gas supply for the five tank cars (daughter) on the loose.

As for LGV, the government promised to provide converter kits for public service vehicles priced up to Rp15 million. Alternative gaseous fuels as a substitute pertamax is intended, particularly for public transport. Because the price of LGV is more expensive than subsidized fuel. If the subsidized fuel price is Rp 4,500 per liter, LGV can be about Rp 4100 per liter.
